Yes, a new design. I know, I can’t keep the same thing for too long. The last design seemed too gray for me, I like pages with whites in them for some reason. Plus with spring around the corner it only fit.

Also, as you see I have changed my photo pages. I found a script for photos with the program I use to write on here. I am still working out all the kinks with it but at least the family photos are up there. I am working with getting the WVU ones to work. I may have to redo the entire album. I dunno, we will see.

Only a couple more days until we offically move. We have taken a lot of things over to the new place and it is looking better and better. My folks are coming up starting tomorrow with Dad, who is bringing some things like my bed from home and a washer and dryer.

I also finally made my picks for the NCAA tournament today. I didn’t feel like doing it the last couple days and I really wanted to put it off until today to gather my thoughts about it and all. I think I have a pretty solid bracket of picks. Some upsets and mostly the right teams winning. I had problems picking some teams but that is just the life of it though.

For one the weather is starting to turn good…even though I hear it will get nasty again this weekend with possible snow…but hey its West Virginia and that wouldn’t surprise me one bit to go from 70s and sun to 30s and snow in a matter of a day. I have seen it time and time again.

Secondly, its March Madness time baby! I love it. The pools are filling up with brackets and what not and I haven’t even picked winners yet. I honestly don’t plan on doing it until tomorrow or even Wednesday. I just want to hold off for a day or so and let this bracket sink in with me here. Its a tough one this year but I think its a do-able bracket. I heard today that the odds of picking all the games correct is greater than winning the Powerball. Seriously, you have a better shot at the Powerball than at getting all of the games right. How crazy is that?!

Well so far this weekend I have started moving to the new townhouse across town. I feel yesterday, I got quite a bit done with what I moved to the new place. Mostly my junk that will stay in the basement until I throw things out and clothes were put in the new place. I’ve already started organizing my closet in the new place since I’ve put my clothes in there. Its more space than the old closet at the place I am currently at, which is nice.

I am very happy to be moving right now, I don’t like leaving here when things on for like 30 minutes to return with all my lights off in my room from where my roommate decides to turn them off. He’s not saving any power by doing that really. Cost more to turn them on and off than to just leave them on for an extra few. Thankfully its only a few more days of junk like that. Friday is the big move day here.

Also, the brackets for NCAA tournament come out today. I will be on a selection show at U92 from 530 until 730, so give it a listen. I hosted the SportsPage on Friday night, I meant to tell more but forgot to get on here and do so. It went pretty well other than the fact that the normal music that is usually used was not where it should have been for me to use. Needless to  say I had to use really random music at the station. Other than that it was an okay show. Mikey even called in and say I was his favorite sportscaster. Thanks Mikey.

I dislike the mail system even more these days. Since I had yet to hear from FC Dallas about my internship application I thought I would just call them myself and see what was up. After being transfered a couple times I finally spoke with someone who was I guess was the media relations "man" or something that heads up the interns there. He said he hadn’t seen my application at all. Keep in mind I sent it a month ago.

So he told me to just email him all my stuff and he would take a look at it. So again keep your fingers crossed that the email system worked and that they like what they see!

Yeah, I should be able to start moving this weekend! Wow…and surely enough I have yet to begin packing anything up. And this week looks to be a crazy one before spring break! Yikes.

I can’t wait though…because waking up before the time I want to wake up at 8 in the morning around here really bugs me. Those who don’t know, down the hill from where I am now is a bunch of townhouses being built and the people who build them enjoy getting there at 7 in the morning to start. Now I am okay with the bang of a hammer but to play bad music so loud at that time of the morning is just a crime. The worst was seeing them this morning playing an air guitar to one of the songs instead of actually working.

One more week man…one more.

I saw this list of things earlier today and couldn’t help but to post it since I am a 90s kid for the most part. I hope you get a laugh out of it like I did if you are or have been around a 90s kid yourself.

Anybody under the age of 16 should not read this. Just cuz you were born in ’92 doesn’t mean you’re a 90’s kid. It’s not like you could remember the original Simpsons.

You know you’re a 90’s kid and getting old if…

You’ve ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!"

You can sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air"

You know that "WOAH" comes from Joey from "Blossom" and that "How Rude!" comes from Stephanie from "Full House."

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early
on a Saturday to watch cartoons

You got super excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school.

You remember reading "Goosebumps."

You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, wax off."

You have pondered why Smurfette was the only female smurf.

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You remember the craze then the banning of slap bracelets and slam books.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence… Not…

You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green ranger, were meant to be together.

You remember "I’ve fallen and I can’t get up"

You remember going to the skating rink before there were inline skates

You ever got injured on a Slip ‘n’ Slide.

You wore socks over leggings scrunched down.

" Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack, all dressed in black, black, black, with silver buttons, buttons, buttons, all down her back, back, back" SHE ASKED HER MOTHER MOTHER MOTHER FOR FIFTY CENTS CENTS CENTS TO SEE THE ELEPHANTS ELEPHANTS ELEPHANTS JUMP OVER THE FENCE THE FENCE THE FENCE"
he jumped so high high high he touched the sky sky sky and he didnt come back back back til the forth of july ly ly he jumped so low ow ow he stumbed he’s toe oe oe and thats the end end end of the elephants show ow ow

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players.

You remember Alf, the little brown alien from Melmac and Vicki the Robot from "MY Little Wonder."

You remember New Kids on The Block when they were cool.

You knew all the characters names and their life stories on "Saved By The Bell."

You played and or collected "Pogs."

You used to pretend to be a MIGHTY MORPHIN Power Ranger and you owned a Skip It.

You had at least one GigaPet or NanoBaby and brought it everywhere.

You watched the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

You remember a time before the WB.

You’ve gotten creeped out by "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"

You thought it would be so cool to be Alex Mack.

You know the Macarena by heart.

"Talk to the hand" … enough said

You thought Brain would finally take over the world.

Again, if you know what those things mean and got a laugh out of it then you know the 90s just like I do. Now I may not have been a 100% on all of those things listed but I was pretty darn close man. Those in a way were the good ol’ days.

Come to know that all along Mikey, Jennifer, Fatz and I have been looking at the wrong townhouse. lol Honest mistake. Its 109 not 105…either way it doesn’t matter since we might be able to start moving stuff in NEXT weekend!! Woohoo! We are all pumped for it and I haven’t even started to pack a thing. I guess it really won’t hit me until next week when I really will have to start.

Also…WVU released the schedules for next fall. Which is always nice…I love planning a new semester more than attending the one I am currently in. It always happens this way but honestly I know since I am only going to be taking 12 hours again next fall that it won’t really matter all that much what I take. I will again keep with the lack of Friday classes. I like that…its easy and its nice to know that Thursday starts your weekend. Looking at things and the classes I have left to take, I will probably make my Mondays…Monday. In other words I will have most of my classes on Monday. No big deal really. My one broadcasting class won’t be at night but I still may have a class that starts in the early evening on Monday. Oh well…I am not worried because there shouldn’t be any soccer games those nights, which is good so I won’t have to miss anything either way.

Tuesday and Thursday will be my work days which will be strange since Monday and Wednesday have always been my work day at the Foundation but its always nice to have a change of things. I will still work Fridays. No change there…I just know I wanted to make this semester as relaxed as possible with the broadcasting class and soccer on the menu.

Again its still nice to plan this early here…I think i register for classes again in a couple weeks!

As for this semester, I have my first package in my broadcasting class due next week. I am interviewing and shooting video tomorrow out at the Coliseum. I am going to do a piece on the new wrestling complex that they are building here at school. Hopefully it will turn out good.

So over the weekend I got to see the progress on the new townhouse that I am moving into next month. It basically looks like appliances in the kitchen, some wall fixtures and carpet need to be put in before we move in. Oh yeah and the back deck needs finished too. My bedroom has a door to the back deck and currently if you open the door its a good 20 foot drop to the ground!

Anywho…today is the last home game for the men’s basketball team. Hard to believe this season is already coming into March Madness, which is also the best month for hoops in the year.

Still no word on the internship in Dallas. I applied to more teams in the MLS over the weekend too. I figured it wouldn’t hurt one bit…because you just never know. I will probably continue to apply to more as the weeks go on here before spring break (which is only two more weeks away!!!!). Also, I am starting to look at radio stations and/or tv stations in those markets that cover those soccer games. I figure that wouldn’t be a bad idea as well to at least try. I still have one internship in Pittsburgh that I won’t need to apply for until April. That one looks to be pretty promising from the sounds of emails that I got back in January.

As always, I will keep ya posted!

Alrighty, looks like I will be on the weekly sports talk show on U-92 tomorrow night at 9 PM ET. Give it a listen, it should be good.

Secondly, I am working on a photo section for the ol’ 6 here. I did away with my old photos from high school when I changed things and moved hosts late last year so don’t expect to see too many if any at all of those photos. I mean most of them are 4 years old or so…kinda crazy to think that now but its the truth. I will let you all know more about that when I get to it.

Sometimes you can’t do a thing when it comes to computer problems. I know many of you tried to listen to me tonight call the women’s game against Notre Dame but the connection was in and out. It happens more than it should at U92, but at least you tried to listen and for that I thank you greatly.

WVU ended up losing in a pathetic display of heart in the second half by most of the WVU players. Its sad to think that this team could very well not make the Big East tournament in the women’s side of things. Hard to believe when we began the year with great hope but inconsistant play will kill you more and more over time and this young team has found that out the tough way. Not to mention the best player on the team going down with 10 games or so to go never helpes.

That will probably do it for me doing women’s game this year…no post season in real sight other than maybe the Big East tournament. Baseball is next at our station…I honestly have no idea how much I will work those games. I’d like to say some but again real hard to tell at this point. I am starting to look more foward to soccer season here every day. I miss doing those games and watching those teams, even if they aren’t playing well. Yeah I am still a soccer geek at heart and I don’t even care.

Thankfully now this week if half over and I can focus on school and other things. I currently need to find some story ideas for my broadcasting class which is easier said than done at this point. I will do my best as always.
