Founder and Managing Editor. I combined my two passions of soccer and writing into one place. My site mainly focuses on Major League Soccer with a look at American soccer in general. My writing has been linked to various sites like NYTimes.com’s soccer blog, ESPN Insider’s soccer blog, Seattle Times’ soccer blog, various MLS team sites, and more.
Since 2008, I have been the webmaster and designer for my local church’s website. In 2012, the site went through a massive change to incorporate a new sermon archive. Coming soon will be a will digital member directory.
During the 2012 MLS season, I began freelancing for FCDallas.com. Below are some links to my work there.

During my senior year of college at West Virginia University, I interned at the WVU Foundation as a communications intern. There I got the chance to write for the Alumni Magazine. Below are samples of my work for that publication.

Summer 2006 – Feature Story on the WVU Marching Band (note: this is a cached version of this story, until WVU puts up the archived version of this issue online, this is the best I can do with this story)
As a Project Manager, I worked side-by-side with Baylor Health Care Systems in getting their newsroom launched (http://media.baylorhealth.com). I retained client relationship by maintaining conference calls and meetings for projects.
During the launch process I organized, maintained, and created tickets for developers to handle the back-end coding of the newsroom. From there I handled the testing of the newsroom. I also added the client’s content from their old newsroom and organized it per their request.
SBNation.com | January 2011 – present
Soccer contributor. Beginning in 2011, I began contributing posts and columns to the soccer hub of SBNation.com.
Along side with my work at SBNation.com, I am an editor at the FC Dallas blog, Big D Soccer. I contribute weekly posts such as scouting the upcoming opponent, breaking news and some feature posts about FC Dallas.

Project Manager. Worked with Fortune 500 companies including: The New York Times Syndicate, Baylor Health Care Systems, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, American Honda Motor Company, Mercedes Benz USA, Hess Corporation, Nissan North America, and Southwest Airlines.
Assist in handling press releases, photos and videos for client’s digital newsrooms. Handled some design work with CSS, HTML and various Adobe programs like Photoshop and Fireworks. Helped coordinate embargoed/time sensitive postings of releases, photos and videos for clients.

On-Air Talent | Assistant Sports Director. Handled responsibilities for a staff of 40 student volunteers. Reported on WVU football, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s soccer teams. Play-by-play announcer for women’s basketball broadcasts. Hosted a pre-game and post-game show during women’s basketball broadcasts. Hosted a weekly sports talk show to cover various sports topics from that week. Wrote and produced weekly sports cast.
