Alright, there are a couple soccer games this weekend for your listening pleasure (or at least I hope it sounds good). One Friday and the second on Sunday.

Friday is at 730 though I expect or hope to get on air by no later than 715 (ET folks…). Sunday’s game is at 330 I believe, though if I am incorrect I will let you know other wise.

So how to listen is real simple. I have bought the season pass this year and it should be working correctly. All you need to do is go to www.msnsportsnet.com and go down the page, near the bottom on the right side of the page. Under the "Mountaineers Play Here" logo you will see links for audio for soccer games this weekend. Click the game for the right date and a pop up will appear. Just use my log in so you won’t have to pay for it down the road.

Its real simple I believe and should work once things are starting up on Friday. If it doesn’t work Friday just let me know and I will hopefully figure out what went wrong and get things going for Sunday. I hope things work out better than the first couple games last season.

I will try to keep you all posted on here about games when they come up, which is quite often this semester if I am not mistaken.

By the way, hope you like the new look. As much as I liked the other design I just felt this was more of a look for the fall. But you all know I can never stick with a site design for more than a few weeks anyways.

OKay this is something I have been meaning to do here on my site. Perfect time to start right? I will do my best to keep up with this as I can.

So I feel 10 songs/bands or so is good enough to let you know what music I am listening to these days. It changes from day to day really.

  1. A.F.I. – their new CD is awesome I think…totally addicted to it right now
  2. Muse – always been a Muse fan, they are so different that its fun to listen to I think
  3. Thom Yorke – lead singer for Radiohead doing his own thing, pretty much sounds like a Radiohead album
  4. Angels and Airwaves – I was a little nervous with this CD since its post-Blink 182 here, but its totally better than anything Blink ever did
  5. Gnarls Barkley – so I heard "Crazy" way back in the spring before it got big, now some of their stuff is growing on me
  6. Sonic Youth – nice ol’ band here, "Incinerate" is a great song too
  7. Secret Machines – sometimes this band is tough to put down for me…I don’t even know why
  8. The Frey – got a live album of theirs and totally love it, really wish they had came here for Fall Fest like I had heard
  9. The Racontuers – dude from the White Stripes is at it again, good stuff
  10. The Exit – some people probably don’t know about this band but they are solid to listen to, different but real good I believe

Okay, so my list may not be that long next time around but it could be close. Hopefully I can keep with this here.

I have to say it stinks that summer is really over here and that I have totally gone away from posting stuff on here that I kept meaning to post. Don’t worry, I will eventually figure out what I want to do with 30 soccer photos from various soccer games that I went to. I figured I would save time and space with not posting all of those photos anyways.

But getting back to the busniess at hand.

School begins on Monday here in the University City. I have two classes (one in the morning and the other in the early evening). Then to kick the year off there is Fall Fest. Past years WVU has done well with getting solid music to kick off the school year but really the last two years have been pathetic in my eyes. I didn’t go last year and I am wondering if I will even show up this year for it. I would like to see The Roots that’s all really.

My other days this week for class (and that of the rest of the semester really) are three classes on Tuesday and Thursday and one on wednesday mornings. As usual, no Friday classes though I should have work. Speaking of work, I have not found out about my WVUF internship that I had last year for this school year. I should find out either way this week. That would definitely take up dead space on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Now, as for U92 work and soccer games. I should get the season pass for the soccer games sometime in the coming week since the first game is this coming FRIDAY at 730 pm. We should go on air at 7 or so I would think. I will post more information about the games as they come up. So keep checking back here for games and how to listen. For U92 stuff, I should have my normal Friday shift in the afternoons. Again, I will keep everyone posted on that information. Same goes for when I will appear on the SportsPage on Friday nights. I am sorry that I forgot to inform you all about me being back on the ‘Page this past Friday.

I honestly hope to do some good things with this site in the coming months. I  really hope to take more photos of things I do and see this year. So hopefully I can figure out a way to post photos in an easy manner for your viewing pleasure.

Ah….in a way it is nice to be back but I do miss summer already.

Okay, I know I said I would post photos and I will…just thought I would pass along that I am back in Morgantown again and I am getting ready for another semester of school. Give me some time and I will post some final photos of the summer.

I’m lazy and I don’t even care. I promise more photos are on the way.

I only have a week left here in Dallas so I am trying my best to take some photos of things!

I thought today would be a decent time to post a couple more photos of the summer.

Jake in his Mr. Incredible costume. Yeah, it makes me laugh everytime I look at him in it. Seriously worth the price of admission to see him in it.

My aunt’s little dog Chloe. Yeah, she is cute what else can I say about her.

There was the goodness of Starbucks and then there is the gooooooodness of Jamba Juice! I swear its a gift from God.

Yeah, it was good…very good.

Okay, enough for now, more to come I am sure down the road.

I felt I would upload some photos of what I’ve been into this summer. Okay, honestly they are all mostly from soccer games that I’ve been to. I haven’t taken a camera to work or anywhere else but I sort of plan to before long. So enjoy.

my room at the Fitzgerald casa.

my seat at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX…home of FC Dallas!!

Carlos Ruiz from a distance…he is currently the leading scorer for FC Dallas this year with (I believe) 8 goals and 3 assists. Not to shabby for a fish.

FC Dallas warming up before their match with New York Red Bulls. Yeah I was too lazy to take photos during the game so warm ups is all I got.

I will return later on hopefully with more enlighting photos of my summer.

I know its tomorrow but I figured I would go ahead and throw it out there and wish everyone a Happy 4th of July. Enjoy the fireworks and all the fun that comes with celebrating America’s birthday!

So I have been in Dallas for a little over a month now and I must say I still am enjoying it as much as the day I got here. It doesn’t hurt that the weather here makes you have a better mood even though it is really hot out. I like it here and I cannot believe how fast the time is getting away from me here already.

I figured I would jot down a few of the things that I probably haven’t mentioned on here that I have been up to since the last post on here which was even too long ago that I cannot recall. Anyways, even though I intern at ABC radio four days a week and I am usually pretty wiped out during the week, I still manage to get to do somethings on the weekends and even during the weekend on Wednesdays (my off day) or in the evenings during the week.

Since I got here I have been to two FC Dallas soccer games (the won one and lost one in those two games), one Texas Ranger’s game against Oakland (which the Rangers won 4-3), one rodeo…which I must say was pretty cool, and a few movies.

Of course all month long I have been glued as much as I can to the TV for the FIFA World Cup. I have to have my soccer when it is on!

Hard to believe I am pretty much half way through my summer already down here! That is the only thing about summer that I have never enjoyed or understood, how fast it always goes!

I’ve noticed some things since I have been down here in Texas. In a way these things are probably a little racial or wrong in some ways but its what I have seen.

For one, the further south from WV you go the less of an opinion people have of West Virginians. Not so out here in Texas. It seems like WV didn’t piss off any Texans, so they hardly seem to care that the state is full of hicks or anything like that. I would say that most Texans would get along great with most West Virginians.

Secondly, I’ve noticed in Mexicans or Latinos, that they and their kids are always wanting to run from things or run away to something else. Its weird but in line at 6 Flags today I noticed these little Mexican kids. They kept running away from one another and their parents seemed to just cheer them on and tell them that they were free from one another or something weird like that. Funny, yet really true that they do like to run away to other things.

Lastly, and this isn’t something I have noticed its just what is going on in my internship. This week I will start working with a morning on-air guy. He seems cool and could be the right person to get to work with anyways. Better than re-learning my ABC’s for other people in the sales offices. Yeah, I’ve been doing a lot of filing for people so far! Not bad, but it can get old and it will get old before August I am sure. At least I will have some fun things like the early mornings coming up to break them apart.

Oh, and the World Cup starts at the end of this week! I am pumped! 64 games! Yes!
