Go Ahead And Drop That F-Bomb

Interesting. So the old FCC rules on vulgar language have been struck down in court.

A federal appeals court struck down the Federal Communications Commission’s indecency policy Tuesday, calling the agency’s longstanding rules “unconstitutionally vague.”

A three-judge panel on the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals said in a 32-page ruling that the FCC’s indecency rules created “a chilling effect that goes far beyond the fleeting expletives at issue here.”

I suppose this all means we could see some nastier language used on prime-time TV, or just regular TV for that matter. I can tolerate some on HBO shows but I’d honestly rather have one of my favorite comedies beep out the really nasty words (like they do now for comedic purposes) rather than not beep them out.
